Could a 3D Printed Implant Drill Guide be Useful for Me?

Guided surgery is the safest and most efficient method for accurate implant placement. At NimroDental, we collaborate with clinician's to create precise, custom 3D printed drilling guides, ensuring optimal aesthetic and functional results.

Why should I use a 3D printed Implant Drill Guide?

  • More relaxed implant placement and quicker surgery.

  • High precision for accurate angle insertion, especially in posterior segments with restricted space.

  • Allows for immediate loading in certain cases.

  • Improves accuracy in implant placement.

  • Facilitates flapless technique, enhancing patient comfort.

What are the advantages of using NimroDENTAL Drill Guides?

  • Our open scaffolding-style guides allow for better irrigation and cooling during the drilling process.

  • Implant positioning is meticulously planned using CBCT scans, reducing the risk of unexpected issues.

  • The guides are designed based on models superimposed over the CBCT scans.

  • Clinicians are not restricted by a specific implant system.

  • The design of the guide is fully customisable to the clinician's needs and preferences.

What is the process?

  1. Clinicians upload CT scans to our cloud-based software (free of charge as per our T&C's).

  2. Clinicians upload intraoral scans or send physical impressions for scanning.

  3. We superimpose the CT scan with the model.

  4. Clinicians have full control over implant positioning during the planning stage.

  5. We design and 3D-print the implant drill guide according to the agreed plan.

When are Drill Guides Most Useful?

  • "Fast and fix" procedures.

  • Multi implant cases.

  • Edentulous (toothless) patients.

  • Cases where raising a flap is problematic.

  • Posterior implants with limited space for maneuvering.

Summary:

Guided surgery is effective for most cases, significantly reducing the chance of error compared to freehand surgery. However, it should complement and not replace the clinician's surgical judgement and experience.

Testimonial from Dr Amjad Malik:

"The superb combination of Hugo at NimroDental and Co diagnostix software by Bredent makes implant planning and placement as simple as child's play. From complete navigation surgical guides to simpler surgical stents this takes all the guesswork and risk out of implant placement. This also means that you do not need carry a large reservoir or stock of implants, as predetermined implant selection is more accurate and finessed - which itself is a considerable saving in cash flow. Furthermore, the saving in clinical / surgical time is an extra bonus. With Co diagnostix able to work with most implant systems, this really is a recipe for guaranteed success."
